is there a tutorial ?

After months looking for it , now im a happy owner of the pack.. did buy the last bundle.. dunno if is there a place to review the entire thng or if i should to to every part of it commenting the same thing :')

Once i was skeptical about the quality but damn :)

Impressive

Damn, this is some gorgeous art friend!

Do you use a public color palette?

I bought "Winter Sale 2021 RPGW" AssetBundle.

The only unfortunate thing is that the tile composition is the same as what you see on the page.

The map layout shown as a usage example does not appear to be included.

If I have to look at the assets and create from the floor to that example, the work time increases a lot.

Even if it is a tiled or png file, it would be good if there is an example to follow.

Just purchased the bundle and your assets look amazing. Some of the best pixel art I've run across. Absolutely stunning! Great work and Thank you!

(1 edit)

Thank you, I try to do best i can. I am also learning how to improve my work all the time.

Im interested in buyng the bundle with the discount but reading the previous comments made on all of his work makes me not to buy it..
Its an amazing work and i really want it but im afraid to get a different thing.

Is there anyone that did buy it that could tell me if after buying you got what you paid for?
Thanks in advane and sorry for my bad english

Rather unrealistic that you will not get the purchased asset. With this someone it is probably some kind of mistake you write about.

Well, maybe im too worried about cuz i used to buy things in other places and had a big problem, not everytime.. yet, my bad, i might have focused on 'worried' reviews instead good ones..

Im thinking to buy one to see it will make me happy and then, the 20$ one (complete one)

Im curious, if i buy one set and then i want the complete one for 20$ , i'll need to pay 20$ for all of it, right? i  wont consider that i did buy a part of it, already. just to be sure :)
Thanks in advance

this artist does good work and won’t cheat you, I own plenty of these assets and never had any issues.

New here and just bought the RPG bundle; thanks for the current discount. Though I was hoping to actually have cut tiles in single files available and not just one big file. Also the animations are only the keyframes as PNG, I was hoping to have animated gifs. Am I missing something?

I want to use them in a browser based game, so it will take a lot of time to cut the tiles myself and animate the trees...

Come in to Szadi art. Discord Community Server.

Did that, no one there it seems ;)

Anyway I found this nice plugin for paint.net together with the PSD plugin to open the file, I was able to autocut the tiles; just need to sort out the "empty" ones:

In twenty-something years of game development, I have never seen anyone use tiles as individual files. Using a single tile sheet/tile atlas comes with tremendous opportunities for optimization. In the end, you want to create efficiently laid-out texture pages with all of your tiles and sprites. You then reference the UV coordinates of the sprite/tile(s) on the texture page when you need to draw one. This minimizes costly file operations, unnecessary texture page swaps, and much more than I can realistically cover in a quick comment.

If you're using a game engine, it almost certainly supports tile maps/tile atlases with some kind of native functionality.
If you're drawing to the canvas manually, you should still be using this fundamental approach to implementing tile systems. It's been refined over many years by many intelligent developers.
See: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Games/Techniques/Tilemaps

Please know, I'm not trying to shame you; we all start somewhere.

My point is two-fold:
1) If you're asking for separate files for each tile, you aren't working optimally. In fact, very much the opposite.

2) It's an unreasonable expectation to put on the creator of this asset. No one else is going to need individual files, not if they know what they're doing. So you're asking for a lot of tedious work, at no extra cost, for something only you require.

I genuinely hope this was helpful.

(1 edit)

Forgive me, but everyone learns, one can do that better, the other  that better, but check the new version of the Grass Land v2.0. Regards.

You might have misunderstood me. I was supporting your work and your methodology. My comment was directed at the other poster.

(1 edit)

Oh, I see. Somehow, I must have replied to your comment by mistake. I meant to reply to his.
Sorry about the confusion. Yeah, it's cool that you go through the trouble to meet people's requests, but I was just pointing out that asking you to break your tilesheet down into individual files for each tile is requesting too much work for no additional cost.

We got it wrong, Sorry for the problem.

Second thing, since you spend so much game development, you should know that long ago strategies and simple platformers were built on autotilling. For rpg games, you have always hand-built graphics, my approach is a bit different. But if you visit my discord server, you would find out that I am trying to modify my resources for people.

Would it be possible to add tree stumps for each of the trees?  Would be super helpful for games where you can cut down trees.

Before I purchase, just wanted to ask if it's okay to modify them to my liking for my game? After I buy the pack of course.

(+1)

Yes.

(-1)

Can you also use it to auto tile in Godot?

The assets in the main folder does not match the assets shown here, you have to go into the unity project package to get those files.

Are there plans to create more of the RPG Worlds tilesets? Maybe a desert one, a fire/lava area one, etc?

Yes. But when?  When i finish one of my comission work.

(1 edit) (+2)

hello, @Szadi! I'm one of your itch io followers. I had a bit of a request for your tilesets on itch io. could you release 48x48 versions of them for devs who use the RPG Maker MV/MZ game engines? I noticed the largest sizes you have is 32x32. if you could do add a 48x48 tileset size option too, that would really help me out a lot. I really love your art by the way. very pretty and vivid for pixel art.

Thanks!

Also, I sent you a friend request in Discord a moment ago. I'd love to chat with you about game design and game art if you're cool with that.

Красивая работа ♥

I just purchased this really nice set; love it!  I do notice that on two of the promo images there is a cobblestone path.  I do not see it in the artwork I received.  It would be nice to have! (hopefully this is just me not seeing it)

Nvm! Found it.

(1 edit)

I think there is a mistake? Top rightcorner of Main_Lev_build. The transition from light grass to water got the wrong grass color. It should be light grass to water and not dark grass to water?

Yes, I will try to fix it as soon as possible. Thank you for catching an error.

Decided to take the plunge and buy the entire Rpg World set to show my support and hopefully make a game with them. Packs are very nice, but might take some work to get them to work in Rpg Maker. Would love to see some snow areas or more town details/shops.

If you made a base city pack in the RPG Worlds style, it would look so amazing! Just purchased your set and I am looking forward to your future releases! Thank you!

I am loving how the RPG worlds are shaping up; however, there are only 3 of them to make a complete game. Are you working on towns or dungeons?

I'm working on caves, but when i'm done i don't know. I have a lot of other work not related to drawing.

No worries, life keeps us busy. I'll be picking these packs up; I just wanted to make sure the graphic set wasn't abandoned (it happens a lot). Great work though! ^_^

Gorgeous!

Es bellísimo!

Can you please confirm if any animations exist?  If not, can you please add some, particularly with water?  Otherwise, looks nice.

(+1)

Sorry but no animation yet, if there will a lot interest of this asset, I will try to add something.

Fair enough.  If you do add animations, I will go ahead and make a purchase.  The graphics certainly look nice.
